Adopting upcycled marketing materials to boost offline project dissemination, personalizing them and branding those gadgets with project logo and funding body visual identity.It is common practice for organisations/companies to give away some sort of promotional gadgets to guests/trainees/volunteers for advertising purposes (of company, funding programme, project results), while investing money on brand new items purchased on a marketplace selling items coming from the other side of the word.
Their production and transport from the producer to the purchasing organisation has a high impact on the environment; it would be therefore better if organisations/companies adopted more sustainable promotional items for dissemination purposes.
Upcycling dismissed items (e.g. corks, old tech, etc..) requires time and patience. There are plenty of tips and tricks available online to put together gadgets and support the upcycling process.
